Michael Watson is a graphic designer, animator, special effects producer, and cinematographer. He has designed and executed award-winning on-air program package design and episodic compositing & illustrations for History Channel, DIY Network, HGTV, Food Network, Science Channel, Discovery Channel, PBS, CMT, Animal Planet, The Weather Channel, VH1, Travel Channel, TLC and The National Park Service. Michael also provides consultation on new technologies to the High Noon production and post-production teams with specific emphasis on graphics, cameras, quality, and the ever changing digital file formats.
Prior to High Noon, Watson was Promotion Director for TCI and Liberty Media-owned cable channel Intro Television. He began his career at Gannett’s prestigious NBC affiliate KUSA-TV in Denver as a photojournalist, where he was recognized with an unprecedented twenty-four Regional Emmy awards for his work in all aspects of television production. He also earned two National Emmy nominations and a National Emmy for a series of documentary style photo essays that aired on PBS.
